Bring your catalog. Check it before it lands.
Prepare a small CSV first. Makeuno lets workspace owners and managers map columns, validate rows and review the import before applying it.
From spreadsheet to catalog.
- Product code
- sku
- Product name
- name
- Opening stock
- openingQty
Map → Validate → Review → Import
1. Prepare the rows
Give every row a SKU. Include a name for new items and use consistent units. The sample contains fictional products and materials: replace them with your own records before importing.
- Common columns: sku, name, kind, unit, currency, cost
- Opening quantities: openingQty; minimum stock: minQty
- Use product or material types and units such as pcs or m
2. Map columns and validate
Open CSV import from Inventory using an owner or manager account. Choose the import mode and destination location, map columns, then inspect validation results before committing.
- Create mode rejects existing SKUs
- Update mode matches existing SKUs
- Resolve validation errors before confirming
3. Check the result
Verify imported products and quantities after completion. Opening quantities are for new items; existing items cannot receive opening stock again through a catalog update. Use stock entry or counting for those changes.
- Start with a small file and inspect the result
- Technical limit: 50 MiB and 50,000 rows
- Your active-item plan quota still applies
A few useful answers.
Does the file limit increase my plan allowance?
No. The technical upload limit and your active-item quota are separate. An import cannot bypass plan capacity.
Can I add opening stock again when updating a product?
No. A catalog update does not add opening stock to an existing item. Use the stock entry or counting workflow for stock changes.
Can an operator import the catalog?
Catalog imports require an owner or manager role.
Start small.
